Rafiq Kasbati has told media that State Bank of Pakistan will issue coin of Rs.10 on 24th Oct, 2016. Rs.10 coin was approved by Federal Government of Pakistan on 17th July, 2016.
There are coins of Rs.1,Rs.2 and Rs.5 were in Pakistani market but its first time State Bank of Pakistan is issuing a coin of worth Rupee 10.Coin weighs 5-50 grams and have a diameter of 25mm. On one side of the coin here is the picture of moon with a star with a mention of “Islami Jamhoriya Pakistan” while on other side Faisal Mosque is carved,which is World’s 4th largest and Pakistan largest mosque, with three dove flying over the mosque presenting peace.
But its not the first time State Bank of Pakistan is issuing Rs.10 coin. It has been issued in 2009 on the occasion of China’s 60th Independence day to show solidarity with People Republic of China.
