Google for Work to rebrand as Google Cloud

The confirmation should come at an official Google Cloud event later this month.

Google for Work

If you are used to seeing Google for Work while working on your company’s Google web apps like Google Docs and Inbox for business, it may not remain the same in near future.

Google has decided to discontinue the Google for Work branding – it has been using for its business applications – changing it with “Google Cloud”, reported by The Information mentioning two sources who’ve been brief on the change.

Google for Work is popular among the business and it includes Google’s business focused products, cloud services, maps, Chromebooks and Android devices, search and business services.

According to The Information, Diane Greene, Google Cloud head, announced the future change within the group in an email around couple of weeks ago.

The publication’s sources further revealed that the search giant is changing the name to Google Cloud and these changes will also cover Chromebooks and Android devices along with web services.

The Information goes on further to say that all this should be made official at the upcoming Google Cloud event later this month on 29th September.
