In the times, Kodak was well known for its camera’s and photography tools. But advancement in smart phone technology seems to be unkind for Kodak. People are rushing to buy new smartphones made by Apple, Samsung Google etc having high resolution cameras along with other features.

Kodak didn’t took it to heart and launched a new smart phone for photography lovers.Last year Kodak introduced its first phone, the IM5 an easy-to-use photography device. Now, Kodak has unveiled the Kodak Ektra — a vintage-looking handset with a souped-up camera which looks like classical 1941 Kodak of the same name. This camera bump with a big lens and cute leather case surprisingly having light weight is an appealing feature for photographers adding up a classy look to their life style.

 

 

Now, Kodak has introduced its new phone android smartphone Ektra. The Ektra has a 21-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture with extensive scene mode selection which is generally found in DSLR cameras.It also has a 13MP front-facing camera. Ektra has 3GB of RAM, 32GB of memory and Sony’s IMX230 image sensor , as well as , and a MediaTek Helio X20 processor. It is working on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.

According to Kodak, the Ektra will be available in Europe later this year for about $550.
