Samsung is very much of the care about company reputation and also launched an exchange program for $100 for Samsung Note 7 users. People on the internet are making fun of the exploding phone as a bomb or explosives.
Recently Grand Theft Auto (GTA) V has introduced a game feature that turns Samsung Note 7 into an explosive. It was introduced by Hitman Niko which is clearly making fun of the real time situation of Galaxy Note 7 explosions. It wasn’t a copy. But that didn’t stop Samsung from filing a bogus copyright claim.Samsung has issued a DMCA take down targeting a YouTube video that showcased the mod, which gives the Note 7 explosive, grenade-like capabilities.
Now company is trying to remove that video from YouTube in fact from the internet.Because in this way people are making fun of Samsung’s ongoing PR crisis — and now the company is responding in a terrible way: ridiculous overreach and misuse of the DMCA tool.
