Starbucks is officially launching in Pakistan soon and its first outlet will be opened either in Karachi or in Islamabad, reported by FHM Pakistan.
Starbucks Corporation is an American coffee company & coffeehouse chain. The company operates over 23,768 outlets all over the world; including 13,107 in the United States, 2,204 in China, 1,418 in Canada, 1,160 in Japan and 872 in South Korea. Pakistan, a market of over 200 million people, will be the next destination for the American company.
When it comes to best hot & cold coffeehouses, Starbucks is probably the most widely recognized brand wordwide. You’ll be able to get all of Starbucks’ ready brew coffees and signature offerings like Pumpkin Spice Latte, Salted Caramel Mocha, Chile Mocha, scones, cakes, muffins and others.
It will interesting to see how Starbucks will compete with already well established coffee shop chains like Gloria Jeans & the parody version of its own — Sattar Buksh in Pakistan. The later is much confusing with Starbucks’ brand and they managed to pull large customer base in Karachi. Starbucks sent them a brand violation notice in 2013 but it didn’t help them either.
The company didn’t mention any time frame for the launch in Pakistan and there is no pricing information available at the moment.
