Samsung rolled out the Pro version of its Galaxy A9 smartphone. Samsung Galaxy A9 was announced last December and it is company’s latest effort to disguise a mid-range smartphone with high quality features.
Released in China only, the latest Galaxy A9 Pro doesn’t offer anything exceptional than its original version. It has the same metallic design, display and processor as Galaxy A9, but has more RAM, storage and megapixels.

Galaxy A9 Pro has 4GB of RAM, up from the 3GB installed in the original, and twice the storage of the original — 32GB rather than 16GB. In addition, The Galaxy A9 Pro front and rear cameras are upgraded to 8-megapixel and 16-megapixel from 5MP and 13MP respectively.
Moreover, the Pro version of the Galaxy A9 comes with whopping 5,000mAh battery, upgraded from 4,000mAh battery found in Galaxy A9.
Elsewhere, the Galaxy A9 Pro remains identical to its original version, with same 6-inch screen, 1900 x 1080 resolution Super AMOLED display, and 1.8GHz octa-core snapdragon 652 processor. With all these features, Samsung’s new smartphone not only ensures improved performance but also improved endurance as well.

The price of Samsung Galaxy A9 starts from 3,499 Yuan or around $540 — a $53 increase from the original version. The price may look a bit higher but keep in mind that it is only released in China yet.
The other versions of Galaxy A series have been released worldwide and it is very likely that Samsung considers releasing Galaxy A9 Pro worldwide soon.
