Kalash valley is 35 kilometers away from Chitral. This valley is a group of three more small valleys (Rambur, Bumburet and Birir) also called ” Kalasha Desh”. This valley has preserved its culture for many decades as it is a whole new culture within Pakistani culture.

The language they speak is also entirely different from our language (Urdu). Interestingly, people of Kalash are following their norms , values and even dress code for 2000 years. They believe that if they would ever try to change their culture or clothes they will be cursed by their GOD.

People of Kalash celebrate three festivals: Joshi, Ouchal, Chaomashu. Tourists come from all over the world to visit the beauty of this place and to experience some unforgettable moments. The mesmerizing scenery of this valley will welcome you with a sight to behold! all the mountains are covered with thick snow especially in winters.

The mornings are like you are living a fairy tale; When the sunlight covers the valley it seems like someone just has portrayed a valley into gold. Every city; culture has a story to tell so as Kalash does and what is a story without a song? Women of Kalash sing so well. Their pleasing notes enchantingly break the silence. Unfortunately, Culture of Kalash is being endangered and government has to take serious actions to preserve their culture. These people are part of our country and they have rights like any other person in Pakistan.

So, if you are planning to go on vacations to northern areas then how about you visit Kalash this time? This place has something that can never be forgotten easily.
