If you’re tired of political conversations, and online arguments about politics. If seeing one political rant after another when you scroll through Facebook, annoys you — it’s time to start filtering your friends’ politics-heavy Facebook posts from your precious Facebook news-feed. You can just switch off or filter out all the political content from Facebook news-feed.

During recent US presidential elections, Facebook news feed of users have been flooded by  new articles and arguments between people of different political views. CBS News has handily provided different methods to just stop getting yourself involved into political conversations. You just don’t have to unfriend people, you can consider these three simple ways to take a break from politics.

1. Use Chrome Extension “Remove All Politics From Facebook”

For Google Chrome users here is an extension named “Remove All Politics From Facebook”. Once you install the extension, it will filter out all posts that contain the political content. While this extension is great for text-based posts. However, pictures and videos will bypass the filter if they don’t have political keywords or text in description.

2. Use “Social Fixer” to Customize Your Facebook News Feed

In case if you are not a chrome user and you’re looking for a filter that is much more sophisticated, Social Fixer is also a browser extension to filter out political posts. Social Fixer is available for Firefox, Safari and Chrome browsers,and it customizes the Facebook experience for the users in different aspects as well.

3. Hide User’s Posts on Facebook

If you are not interested in downloading extensions or setting up filters, you can just unfollow or hide the user’s post who are more annoying or sharing too much political content. You can still be friend with those people but you will not see any post from them in your news feed. To see their posts you have to visit their profile on Facebook.Just visit your friend profile, click the Following button on their Cover photo and choose Unfollow option.
