WhatsApp Rolls out Coloured Text Status Update

WhatsApp adds a cool feature of coloured text-based Status, brings it to desktop as well.

WhatsApp users are continuously served with wonderful updates after it is owned by Facebook and most of the updates are influenced by Facebook.

Now WhatsApp is rolling out its coloured text feature for all Android and iPhone users. According to WABetaInfo this coloured text update is remotely activated for all users but only few may see the feature, others will soon be able to enjoy the feature. For iPhone users, here is a pen icon next to the camera icon in the new Status bar. You have to click on the pen icon to type a status, choose a font, emoji, and the background colour as well.whatsapp-status

After writing the status and making the necessary changes, you can then hit the green arrow key to send the text status, same as sharing media content previously. The status will then be published on WhatsApp for all your contacts to see. For Android users, the floating pen icon shows up at the bottom of the Status tab, above the camera icon. However, update is not available for Windows Phone users and Web users can only view these text statuses for now, and not create them.

Furthermore, the WABetaInfo claims that the iPhone app will now support more stickers, and bring an improved chat search feature like Instagram. The stickers are disabled for now, but will be switched on in future releases.
