KBW: Kinnaird business week 2016!

Kinnaird college provides lots of opportunities to its students.

If you are a Pakistani and specially you are a student than you must have heard about “Kinnaird College for Women“. It is one of the top most institute of Pakistan specially for women. Kinnaird College for Women established in 1913 . This institute has maintained its legacy for now 103 years.

Kinnaird is always known for its quality education and for events as well. Many known personalities have graduated from this prestige institute like Ayesha Sana, Hadiqa Kiani , Asma jhangir and the list goes on. Trust me! there is a book on the notable alumni. Talking about events, Kinnaird business week is the biggest event every year hosted by Kinnaird it self. This year business week consists of two days event.

DAY 1

Day 1 consist of number of activities many participants from other institutes of Pakistan come to participate in this mega event. For startup challenge which was Inter-university challenge many universities presented their ideas from which Punjab University scored 1st position and Lahore School of Economics was runner up in this competition.

The interesting part of this day was that many notable speakers were invited for Diversify Speaker Session:

Khalid Bajwa
Usman Ali

The main purpose of this session is to motivate the young graduates specially women. Speakers motivated them to take bold steps and do not get afraid by what people think or would say. Set a goal and be ambitious then no one can stop you from achieving what you want. To educate women is an essential part because the whole society’s character is based upon women whether you accept it or not.

And yes! Mrs Mansha wife of Mian Mansha CEO of Nishat Group was also there at the event and for the record she was also graduated from Kinnaird College.

DAY 2

Last but not the least day 2 was only for Kcites ( students of Kinnaird) and like day 1 motivational speaker was invited by the management and also other competitions like scavenger hunt, Ad mad, Light it up were organised for the students. This time Umair Jaliawala was invited to give a motivational speech. Umair Jaliawala is a trainer, Entrepreneur, and activist. To become a motivational speaker is not everyone’s cup of tea. It takes so much to motivate some one in a right way so that he/she can achieve his/her goals. On day 2 students were encouraged to put up stalls to sell their very own products for example: food, Decoration pieces, Their own designed clothes etc.

An event is incomplete without a concert and as far as Kinnaird events are concerned then concerts are must. On business week Kinnaird also held a concert featuring artists like Noori, Abdullah Qureshi and Hamza malik. No doubt! Kinnaird is a best place for the grooming of girls. Kinnaird College provides so many opportunities to its students and teach so much that each girl becomes a lady with refine skills and attitude. You will not see any woman as confident as a KCITE! If you ask a Kcite what is Kinnaird? then she will surely say: “Kinnaird is everything which a lady needs”
