When someone takes screenshots of your chat and share it to others,it will obviously be the most annoying thing for you. But the most irritating thing about it is you don’t know its happening. People were craving for a feature which will notify them when receiver takes screenshots of their messages.

Whatsapp has been doing bunch of updates to its cross-platform messaging app and now creators of the app and according to a report on 8Shit.net, creators of Whatsapp has announced to add much-requested feature, which would notify users every time someone takes a screenshot of the conversation. To mention, the headline of the report reads, ‘From February 5 on, WhatsApp will let you know when someone screenshots your chat’.

According to the rumors, CEO of WhatsApp, Jan Koum has announced that WhatsApp is unveiling a new feature on 5 February. This new update will include the notification option if someone screenshots your conversation. This is an option requested by a lot of users lately, and according to him “after all these years, we’ve reached the conclusion to add it”.

This feature will work in a simple way, you just have to activate the notification option.If it’s checked, you’ll be notified if someone screenshots your conversation, and others will be notified if you screenshot theirs. If it’s unchecked, no one gets notified”, stated Jan Koum. Some users may be annoyed by this feature, as if they were sharing the chat screenshots with others.

But according to WhatsApp blog, its a fake news and WhatsApp has not planned any of such update. WhatsApp in its latest update added gif library, which can be accessed from the emoticon icon and gif tab. The messaging app got gif support back in December last year.
